Are you a woman between ages 30-60 and in good health?
Help us study healthy ways to cope.
Join a UCSF study that will help us to better understand stress and how daily habits such as breathing, physical exercise, or meditation may change how your body responds to stress and improve your mood and physical health.
Learn a new breathing technique, meditation, or physical exercise that you will practice over 3 weeks at home, and see how it affects your mood, health and stress.
Contributing to science helps us move toward a healthier future for yourself and others like you!
You will also receive up to:
$440 for doing all parts of the study
+ a chance to win a $200 Amazon gift card
What will I do?
You will meet with the study team 2 times at UCSF – once at the start and again at the end.
Each time you will be asked to:
Take part in social and thinking tasks.
Wear sensors to measure how your body responds to the tasks.
Give saliva and blood samples (using a finger prick).
In between meetings with the study team, you can do these tasks from home:
Complete surveys online.
Track your mood and sleep in daily diaries.
Practice your assigned stress-relief habit for 15-20 minutes each morning for 3 weeks.
